Kittitian Expo 2008

~~Adz:Right~~ Basseterre, St. Kitts- After a successful launch in 2007, organizers are now making final preparations for the staging of Kittitian Expo 2008, a two day trade fair, highlighting local and overseas businesses in various fields of industry and commerce.

Kittitian Expo, which last year attracted some fifty booths, from 38 companies, will take place this year at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort in Frigate Bay, on Friday 7th & Saturday 8th November. The event is tailor-made for both new and established companies that are either trying to create new markets or gain wide exposure in the local marketplace.

According to some business executives who participated in Kittitian Expo last year, the trade fair proved to be a unique and powerful medium that allowed them to introduce new customers to the vast array of services and products that are available in St. Kitts & Nevis. Among the list of exhibitors in 2007 were those involved in banking, insurance, manufacturing, telecommunications, plant care, agriculture, food supplies, health care, clothing, architecture, security services, photography, restaurants and other leading enterprises.

While addressing the opening of the trade fair in 2007, Minister of International Trade & Industry, Dr. The Honourable Timothy Harris told the gathering that the expo served as a way to achieve certain objectives, such as sensitizing the public as to the products/services that are made “right here in the Federation”, boosting trading activity along with highlighting the contribution of the private sector to national growth, employment and development.

According to organizers of the expo, VhCommunications & Marketing Agency, almost 12 hours have been added this year, providing exhibitors and members of the public more time to conduct their business affairs. The agency said that the expo is most ideal for companies trying to boost their public relations efforts, maintain a strong market presence and launch a new service or product.
