BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Federation has recorded its 15th murder for the year and, according to reports, the alleged perpetrator is in police custody assisting with investigations.
A press release sent by the Press and Public Relations Officer of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Inspector Lyndon David, stated that “two drinking companions got into an argument in a bar in Old Road that led to one striking the other with a piece of pipe in his head”.
It also stated that the victim was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injury.
Information reaching this publication indicates that the incident occurred early yesterday (Dec. 4) morning at Pearline’s Bar, situated on the road that leads to the Tyrell-Williams Primary School in Old Road.
Neither the victim’s nor the alleged perpetrator’s name was stated in the release.
This media house was however informed that the alleged perpetrator is popularly known in the Old Road area as ‘Tantala’.
