BRADES, Montserrat (December 10, 2012) – Her Majesty’s Prison on Friday welcomed four new officers into its service.

In a brief ceremony, chaired by Ms. Cheverlyn Williams, the new officers were presented with certificates of completion by Governor’s Staff Officer Tom Regan.

Acting Superintendent Woodley told the group that the three-week course they’d completed was a short introduction to the system and its rules but that the real training would begin when they showed up for work.

Hon. Attorney General Esco Henry in her remarks highlighted the importance of each officer living up to the mission statement of HMP. She said the greatest challenge would be to lead and support the change which would allow the inmates to live productive lives after their sentences are complete.

The new officers are Roderick Cruden, Monique Mighty, Cleon Reece, and Logun O'Brien.
