BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A former host of WINN FM's 'Voices' call-in programme and local businessman will this morning (Dec. 12) appear before a City Magistrate to answer a charge of threatening language made against the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Hon. Curtis Martin.
Information reaching SKNVibes states that on Saturday night (Dec. 8), while at one of the business entities at The Strip in Frigate Bay, local businessman Paul 'Fergie' Ferguson saw Martin and a female companion and allegedly attempted to take his photograph.
It further states that Martin was not in agreement for his photograph to be taken and a verbal confrontation ensued, in which it is said Ferguson allegedly used threatening language to him.
The matter was reported to the Frigate Bay Police Station and this media house learned that a warrant was issued for Ferguson’s arrest.
Additional information states that police officers, armed with M16 Rifles, arrested Ferguson at about 5:00 p.m. yesterday and took him into custody at the Frigate Bay Police Station.
He was subsequently charged with threatening language, which was confirmed by Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David.
