By: Stanford Conway, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded its 16th murder for the year with the early morning shooting death of a female vendor in Upper Cayon.

Information reaching SKNVibes states that the vendor, whose name was only given as Myra, was shot shortly after midnight in the vicinity of her home.

It is also stated that the woman was  in the company of a male who escaped the gunman/gunmen’ wrath by running away from the scene, while her five-year-old daughter ran to the safety of the Cayon Police Station.

The deceased used to regularly ply her trade on the sidewalk of Fort Street in downtown Basseterre.

Details are sketchy at this time; however, more will be published on this incident as information becomes available.
