Arrangements in place to commemorate retirement of Sir Cuthbert

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, DECEMBER 27TH 2012 (CUOPM) – All arrangements are in place for next Tuesday’s Ceremony to Commemorate the Retirement of His Excellency Dr. Sir Cuthbert Montraville Sebastian, GCMG, OBE, MD, CM  as Governor General of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.  


    Following the announcement of his arrival at Government House and the playing of the National Anthem, Rev. Canon Captain Isaiah Phillip, Chaplain of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force, will give the invocation. 


    This will be followed by introductory remarks by His Excellency Ambassador Delano Bart, Q.C., St. Kitts and Nevis’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations.  


    Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will give remarks, which will be followed with a presentation by Ms. Jihan Williams.  


    After his introduction, Sir Cuthbert will respond.  


    He will depart Government House by following a brunch and inspecting a Military Guard of Honour.
