BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE results are out for the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival's Sugar Mas’ 41 celebration and Banker's Mas Camp has once again captured the ‘Overall Troupe of the Year’, while Xtreme Revolution and the Small Axe Band are also winners in their respective category.

Banker's Mas Camp amassed a total of 368 points to capture the 'Overall Troupe of the Year' title with 'Til D' Soil' and has won a cash prize of EC$25 000.

The troupe sent out a strong message of encouraging persons to eat local foods.

One of the longest participating J'Ouvert troupes in the history of the Federation’s Carnival, LIME Xtreme Revolution hosted by DJ Ronnie Rascal, copped the ‘Best J'Ouvert Troupe’ with 195 points and won EC$15 000.

Everywhere one turned, the Small Axe Band's 'Drop, Cover, Hold On' (DCH) tune rang out through the streets and the majority of persons, after learning of the results, are in agreement that the song had taken its rightful place in the competition.

The tune, with its catchy lyrics that encourages everyone "to do the DCH", amassed 36 points to cart off the Road March Champion’s prize of EC$10 000.

In a previous interview with SKNVibes, Gary Thomas of the Small Axe Band said the band’s members enjoyed doing instructional songs for their fans. This is the band's seventh Road March title since winning in 2006 with 'Masquerade'.

There is no doubt as Carnival celebrations come to an end today (Jan. 2) with Last Lap, the Small Axe Band will again dominate the road with the DCH in celebration of its victory.

The Kollision Band, which tune 'Big Shake' also received plenty air play on the road, was awarded second place with 34 points.
