BVI London office director visits territory to give annual update

    ROADTOWN Tortola, BVI, January 8th 2013 - During his visit, Mr. Malone will meet with His Excellency the Governor Mr. Boyd McCleary, CMG, CVO, Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE, Deputy Governor Mrs. Inez V. Archibald and Permanent Secretary in the Premier’s Office Mrs. Rosalie Adams among others to discuss the London Office’s activities.

     

    The Director of the BVI London Office, Mr. Kedrick Malone, is presently in the Virgin Islands to update the Territory on the events and projects of the London Office over the last year.

     

    Mr. Malone told the Department of Information and Public Relations, “In addition to giving an update on the activities of the London Office, I will also discuss those international developments in the United Kingdom and European Union, both affecting, and expected to affect the BVI.”

     

    Mr. Malone will be a guest on ZBVI 780AM radio talk show “Speak Out BVI” on January 15 at 8pm and CBN Channel 51 television talk show “Vigilate Dialogues” on January 17 at 9pm. A press briefing is scheduled for January 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Conference Room #4 in the Central Administration Building, East Atrium, to which all members of the media are invited.

     

    The BVI London Office was established in 2002 and serves as the Territory’s de facto embassy in the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe. It also serves as headquarters for official visits to the UK/European region and supports Virgin Islanders living and studying in Britain. The BVI London Office falls under the management of the Premier’s Office.
