Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 14th, 2013 -- Communication reaching the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association has confirmed that Son of the soil, Mr. Andy Blanchette has been appointed to serve on CFU's Finance Committee.
Blanchette, in a letter sent directly from the General Secretary of CFU Damien Hughes was named as one of seven persons to serve on the committee.
The letter stated: "The Football Committee is a Standing Committee of the CFU and its membership comprises:-
Maurice Victoire Martinique
Rufo Kelly Aruba
Glenn Etienne Dominica
Marlon Glean Grenada
Artemio Lopez Puerto Rico
Andy Blanchette St. Kitts-Nevis
Trevor Heath St. Lucia"
For quite a number of years, Blanchette has been a part of the football community and has taken part in many of the SKNFA's coaching courses. He is the holder of an SKNFA D License.
In 2004, Andy Blanchette the then coach of the SKN National U-20 Team was nominated by the SKNFA and selected to attend the Hungarian Institute For Sports to pursue the Diploma Course in Football.
The SKNFA extends congratulations to Mr. Blanchette on his latest achievement and wishes him the best in his new post.
