BASSETERRE St. Kitts, January 15th, 2013 -- Members of the SKNFA’s football community continue to not only excel, but make history. Nevisian Referee Kimbell Ward has made history by becoming the first referee to be recognized as a FIFA Referee.
Ward’s appointment came in the 2013 lists of International Referees, Assistant Referees, Futsal Referees and Beach Soccer Referees. Ward is also the only recognized referee under the SKNFA’s Umbrella. Kimbell joins two of his senior officials Graeme Browne and Ike Inniss who have been on the lists for quite a number of years.
Innis’ last appointment was his Caribbean Cup Group 2 Matches in St. Lucia in October 2012.
Graeme Browne’s last appointment was that of Assistant Referee for the CFU Caribbean Cup Finals where he assisted in not only the final round but the final match.
The SKNFA looks forward to reporting many more appointments for Referee Kimbell Ward and Assistant referees Graeme Browne and Ike Innis.
Congratulations to Kimbell Ward, Graeme Browne and Ike Innis on your most recent appointments. The SKNFA looks forward to sharing your successes for years to come.
