BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MAY 12TH 2005 St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas is wishing his Bahamian counterpart a speedy recovery.
Prime Minister, the Right Hon. Perry G. Christie was discharged from the Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau, after he was hospitalized for what doctors said was a mild stroke.
Doctors said there was no cause for concern, since Prime Minister Christie had recovered nearly 100 percent. The physicians said the Bahamian Leader would need at least one month rest.
I wholeheartedly empathise with you and share in your moments of prayerful reflection and recovery, said Prime Minister Douglas.
On behalf of my Government and on my own behalf I extend to you, Perry, best wishes for a speedy recovery and for Gods guidance during this period of recuperation, said Prime Minister Douglas in his letter to the Bahamian leader, who was the Featured Speaker at the ruling St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Partys 71st Annual Conference in May 2003.
