Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 17th, 2013 (SKNIS): The St. Kitts and Nevis Special Olympics team is once again the beneficiary of the annual celebrity football game hosted by the Willful-Skillful Sports Club.

Dango Farrel, President of the Willful-Skillful Sports Club, stated that this is a perfect opportunity for persons to show their support for the Special Olympics team. He added that he wants to encourage the general public to make monetary contributions at the game.

Each celebrity player will donate EC $20 to go towards the operation of various programmes such as swimming, tennis and football. Funds also go towards buying equipment and training coaches.

The event will take place on Sunday January 20 at 4:00 p.m. at the Newtown Football Stadium.

The Special Olympics World Games are held every four years. The St. Kitts and Nevis Special Olympics team last participated in the 2011 summer games in Athens Greece.
