General Manager Lenworth Harris

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – GENERAL MANAGER of the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis Lenworth Harris has dispelled rumours that he was sacked from the financial institution.

Speaking with SKNVibes, Harris emphatically stated that the rumour is false; a rumour which led many people in the twin-island Federation to believe it was true as a result of last evening’s (Jan. 25) sacking of his brother, the Hon. Timothy Harris, as a Minister in the Labour Party Administration.

“People just don’t fire people who are doing a good job. It is just a rumor and there is no element of truth behind it,” Harris said.

The rumour, which surfaced today (Jan. 26), stated that police and a senior government official had escorted the General Manager into the building that houses the Development Bank on Church Street, Basseterre to clear the desk of his personal belongings.
