BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, January 28th 2013 (CUOPM) – Local barrister at law, the Hon. Jason Hamilton was sworn in Monday afternoon as the Federation’s new Attorney General.
The Oaths of Office and Allegiance were administered at Government House by Resident Judge His Lordship Mr. Justice Errol Thomas in the presence of His Excellency the Governor General Sir Edmund Lawrence, Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Members of the Cabinet and family members.
Mr. Hamilton replaces the Hon. Patrice Nisbett.
Prime Minister Douglas, the Hon. Patrice Nisbett and Senator the Hon. Nigel Carty, who also received new portfolios in a Cabinet reshuffle announced last Friday also took Oaths of Office and Allegiance from Justice Thomas.
Sir Edmund signed and presented the new instruments.
