BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, January 30th 2013 (SKNIS) - Strengthening bilateral programmes is high on the agenda of His Excellency David Young-lo Lin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) during his visit to the Federation St. Kitts and Nevis next month.
Throughout his February 2 to 4 visit, Minister Lin and his delegation will make courtesy calls respectively to His Excellency Sir Edmund Wickham Lawrence, KCMG, OBE, CSM, JP; Prime Minister The Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sam Condor.
Topics expected to be discussed include strengthening education, agriculture and renewable energy programmes.
The Taiwanese Foreign Affairs Minister will also express gratitude for the long-standing support and friendship of St. Kitts and Nevis and the support it provides in advocating Taiwan’s involvement in the international community.
In addition, he will inspect the relevant Embassies and Technical Missions posts to learn more about their daily operations and visit the posted volunteers of specialty and personnel of the replacement service.
Minister Lin is also expected to visit other diplomatic allies in the Caribbean Region namely St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Haiti.
