    ARRESTS

     

    Vernon  Henderson of Dieppe Bay was formally charged for the offences of Driving Motor Omnibus Without Relevant Licence and Fraudulently using a Licence, which was committed on 28th January 2013.

     

    Stevana Gordon of Ocean Gardens, Basseterre was formally charged for the offence of Receiving, which was committed between September 1st and November 2nd 2013.

     

    Diayan Austin of Buckley's Site and Austin Williams of Infirmary Road, Basseterre were formally charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on

     

    Chris Liburd of Parray Village was formally charged for the offences of Malicious Damage and Battery on Police, which were committed on 14th January 2013, and Escaping Lawful Custody which was committed on 20th January 2013.

     


    COURT CONVICTIONS

     

    District A Magistrate's Court

     

    Karamo Gould of St. Vincent was convicted for the offences of Possession of one glock pistol, Possession of 17 (9mm) rounds of ammunition, Battery on Police and Disembarking a Vessel Without the Consent of An Immigration Officer, which were committed on 2nd October 2012. For Possession of Firearm, he was sentenced to two years in prison with hard labour, for Possession of Ammunition, he was sentenced to two years with hard labour, for Battery on Police, he was sentenced to six months in prison with hard labour and For Disembarking A Vessel Without the Consent of An Immigration Officer, he was fined $10,000.00 which is to be paid in three (3) months or in default will serve twelve (12) months in prison. All sentences to run consecutively.

     


    District B Magistrate's Court

     

    Gary Webster of Parson Village was convicted for the offences of Praedial Larceny and Throwing Missiles, which were committed on 28th June 2012. For Praedial Larceny charge, he was fined  $500.00 which is to be paid by 15th February 2013 or in default will serve  thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour, and for Throwing Missiles, he was fined $300.00 which is to be paid by 15th February 2013 or in default will serve thirty (30) in prison with hard labour.

     


    Sheldon Francis of Parson Ground was convicted for the offence of Praedial Larceny and Assault, which were committed on 28th June 2012. For Praedial Larceny, he was fined $500.00 which is to be paid by 15th February 2013 or in default will serve  thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour and for Assault, he was fined $500.00 which is to be paid by 15th February 2013 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour.

     


    Keith Hendricks of Parson Ground was convicted for the offence of Praedial Larceny, which was committed on 28 June 2013.  He was fined $500.00 which is to be paid by 15th February 2013 or in default will serve thirty (30) in prison with hard labour.

     


    Jason Bradshaw of St. Pauls was convicted for Throwing Missiles in Parson Village on 28 June 2012 and fined $300.00 which is to be paid by 15th February or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour.

     


    Eric Long of Downing Street, Sandy Point was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 6th April 2012 at Sandy Point, and fined $1000.00 which is to be paid by 15th February 2013 or in default will serve  thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour.

     


    Winston Rogers of Half Way Tree was convicted for the offence of Driving without Wearing Seat Belt, which was committed on 21st July 2012, and fined $100.00 which is to be paid by 31st July 2013 or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison with hard labour.

     


    AMMUNITION FOUND AND TAKEN INTO POLICE CUSTODY

     

    Based on intelligence, Forty two (42) .40 rounds of ammunitions were found and taken into police custody. However, no one was held accountable for the ammunition, investigation is on going into the matter.

     

    Commissioner CG Walwyn therefore takes opportunity to thank  all who were instrumental in the discovery the ammunition found.
