    Storm conditions trigger school/business closure

    ~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts-IN light of the recent developments of Hurricane Omar, the Ministry of Education announced that all schools in the Federation will be closing their doors at midday today (Oct. 15).

     

    Additionally, the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and the Robert Ross International University of Nursing have announced that their classes will be cancelled at midday.

     

    All parents are being urged to make sure that their children get home safely and all preparations are made for the storm, which is expected to make landfall sometime late tonight and continue through tomorrow (Oct. 16). Signs of the impending storm are already evident with steady rains, low temperatures and poor visibility.

     

    For workers traveling between islands, SKNVibes has been informed that there will be two ferries to Nevis and one to St. Kitts running until approximately 3:30 p.m. today, with all voyages likely cancelled tomorrow.
