BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ONCE again, and like good old wine, Kim Collins has demonstrated he is mellowing with age, as he has proven that he still can successfully compete at a very high level against the best the world has to offer.
Today (Feb.3), the 37-year-old Kittitian sprint legend won the Men’s 60m dash at the IAAF’s Russian Winter Indoor Meet in Moscow.
Collins sprinted to a time of 6.57 seconds ahead of Dwain Chambers of Great Britain (6.63) and Kittitian Antoine Adams in a time of 6.67 seconds.
At the halfway mark, Collins overtook Chambers and breasted the tape some two lengths ahead of him, while Adams fought his way back to steal the third position.
