    PORT AU SPAIN Haiti, February 6th, 2013  --  The Millennium Development Goals will have reached their target date in two years. Our region must have a say in the next global development agenda if the new roadmap is to address our needs and reflect our collective experience. CARICOM, UNAIDS and ECLAC are organising a post-2015 coonsulation for the Caribbean in March. For more information contact Senior Regional Programme adviser, John Hassell.
     
    Share your perspectives on how HIV and health should be addressed after 2015 by participating in UNAIDS' global online consultation until February 3rd. Vote to keep AIDS on the agenda. And keep abreast of the other thematic consultations taking place internationally and online. 
     
    Reporting on gains and gaps
     
    2013 is a special year for AIDS reporting. With its ten targets and 2015 deadline, the 2011 Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS is now at mid term. Learn more about Global AIDS Response Progress Reporting.
     
    According to the latest Global Report, Our region has attained many successes including increasing treatment access and lowering new infections in children and adults. We must do more to address prejudice and social inequities while ensuring the financial sustainability of the AIDS response.     Haiti's HIV progress
    UNAIDS Executive Director, Michel Sidibé, met with Haitian leaders in government and civil society to commemorate World AIDS Day 2012. He recognised the country's strides and challenges as well as its progress on eliminating HIV in children.
