BASSETERRE St. Kitts, February 11th, 2013 -- Kool Rhythms will be playing at 17 Degrees (former Tennis Club), Victoria Road, to raise funds for the medical costs related to the prosthetic leg that has been donated to Stennett Harvey (Kwando) by Hanger company in Sarasota, Florida.
Kwando (Stennett Harvey) is a 47 year old farmer, bee specialist and spiritual healer from Saddlers, St. Kitts who lost his left leg in an un-caused motorcycle accident in1989.
Holding a black belt in Taekwondo, he picked up his training shortly after his limb loss and taught himself how to walk on crutches and mount his horse in order to perform work on his farm again, where he is currently leading an organic project involving youth of the village and volunteers from abroad.
As the prosthetics expert said: “It is urgent. Kwando is still fit enough to adjust to a prosthesis, but while walking on crutches, he is constantly over-stressing his heart.”
