Antoine Adams launches ‘Fastest Producer’ Facebook page

By: Loshaun Dixon, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – YOUNG Kittitian athletic star Antoine Adams has launched a Facebook page to keep his fans abreast with his progress on the professional circuit.

Adams, who is also a well-known music producer by the name of Zaggadon, launched the page dubbed ‘Fastest Producer’ in ……..2012.

In an exclusive interview with SKNVibes, he explained the purpose of the page.

“Well, I am blessed with the ability to run fast and I also have a unique ear for music. I decided to start the fan page ‘Fastest Producer’ to basically build it as a brand. As you may know, I got the name ‘Fastest Producer’, after running at the Olympics, from Mr. Wallis Wilkin.

“I want to be known as the Fastest Music Producer in the world. It is catchy. I do have a lot of big things planned this year, both on the track and in the studio. If it is God's will, it will be done.”

He added that people are catching on to the page and “with some proper marketing I think it will do well. I plan to do very well on the world stage this year and the page would probably go viral from this”.

When asked what people can expect from him in both music and on the track for 2013, Adams said, “I am working hard both on the track and in the studio. My studio is actually in my backpack, as I travel so much in the season. But I work on music in my free time wherever I am in the world.

“I am also planning on launching a website that will not only have a portfolio of beats for artistes and companies to shop, but it will also be a resource for independent artistes to get business career info. I am also working on an album that will feature artistes from all over the world.”

Along with the Facebook page, Adams also released a motivational video.

“The aim behind the video was simple…to inspire and motivate. It took me years of literally blood, sweat and tears to get where I am at today. I just wanted to show people that hard work does pay off. The music and video was done by me. Hopefully, it can inspire people to keep working hard at what they want to do with their lives.”

Adams also weighed in on his performances for the year so far.

“I did a personal best last week, so I can’t complain. Each race I am expected to get better. I am happy with the progress so far. I want to do better though. Ultimately, I want to run 6.5 seconds and my coach says I can do it. Usually, when he says I am ready, I run fast.”

He also has some inspirational word for his fans and supporters.

“Life is short. Go after your dreams now! Live, love, laugh. You can be anything you want to be. If you have a dream, protect it. There will be dream killers out there…‘AKA’ people that will for no reason not want to see you succeed. Do not let them kill your dreams. You kill their dreams of you failing by succeeding. Apply and dedicate yourself. Go for it!”

Adams is currently based in Houston, Texas and his coach is Eric Francis.

He also announced what lies ahead for his next few races.

“One of my biggest races of the indoor season will be the Aviva Birmingham Grand Prix, where I am currently at. I am honoured to be invited back a second time. It is probably one of the biggest indoor meets in the world.

“It is on Saturday, February 16, 2013. After that I will do one more meet in France and then head back over to Houston to rest and get ready for the outdoor season.”

Antoine Adams was a member of the St. Kitts and Nevis 4x100 meters relay team that won bronze at the IAAF World Championship in 2011. He also competed at the Olympics last year in the 100 and 200 metres as well as in the 4x100 meters relay.
