By: Precious Mills, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TODAY (Feb. 17) is a big day for uprising national Soca/Dancehall artiste  26-year-old Diedra ‘Cinnamon’ Delsol, as her latest official music video for a tune called ‘Mash Up’ is scheduled to premiere on the  well-known pan-Caribbean channel,  TEMPO (channel 61).

Persons can also go to www.gottempo.com to see the live streaming.

Today the video will be shown first at 2:03 p.m., then tonight at 7:11 and 11:21. Come tomorrow (Feb. 18), persons can look out for it at 3:49 a.m., 10:55 a.m. and 8:55 p.m.

Cinnamon, who is referred to as the ‘Soca Spice’, told SKNVibes that she is feeling excited and anxious about this afternoon’s music video debut.

“It’s good to know that 24 Caribbean countries will be able to view it on their televisions. It’s a step in the right direction in making myself known regionally as an upcoming Soca artiste from St. Kitts.”

Asked how the process was in getting her video material to the TEMPO Network, Cinnamon said it was quite easy.

“I sent an email out to the Video Submission Department. They told me the requirements and once they viewed the video and everything was up to their standards, all that was left to do is send my completed form with the information along with the video in the requested format. In less than a week they sent me back word that the video was being prepared to be aired. I was very impress with how fast the process was.”

The soca single ‘Mash Up’ was released in December for the Carnival season and the music video was aired on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) on
    www.irepskntv.com.

In a previous interview, Cinnamon had stated ‘Mash Up’ is not the typical ‘wilders’ that people hear from bands.

“It’s more of a fusion of Soca and Techno/Dance. ‘Mash Up’ is really about having a good time with no restrictions, no limitations; just enjoying Carnival and Soca the true Caribbean way.”

Persons eager to see the music video right now can go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRt30Bh732E.

The video was produced by Luidjy ‘Dayron’ Clebert from Guadeloupe and was directed by Sherwin Jupiter of iRep Studios in St. Kitts. It was mixed by Kelvin ‘DJ Kellz’ Christopher of the Antigua-based Viva Caribbean Media Group, the company that manages Cinnamon.

According to information gleaned from gottempo.com, TEMPO currently broadcasts in 24 Caribbean islands, with approximately three million viewers, and in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut on Cablevision Channel 1105.

Reportedly, “TEMPO is expanding rapidly, both in the United States and internationally, and serves both the large Caribbean populations of Atlanta, Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston as well as "Lover of All Things Caribbean": the over 20 million visitors to the Caribbean from the United States.”
