BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - KITTITIAN sprint legend Kim Collins won the men’s 60 metre-dash at the National Indoor Athletics Meeting in Metz, France, on Sunday (Feb. 24) finishing ahead of fellow countryman Antoine Adams who was second best.

The experienced sprinter clocked a season-best-time of 6.53 seconds to take the victory over
    Adams’ 6.64 seconds.

Emmanuel Biron of France was third clocking a time of 6.68 seconds.

In the heats, Collins ran 6.59 secs to win his qualifying round, a time which was the fastest of the preliminaries.

Just last week the young Adams beat his elder Kittitian counterpart in the 60 meters for third place at the Aviva Birmingham Grand Prix in England.

On Sunday Adams announced, via his Facebook page, that that day’s race was his last of the indoor season and was thankful for being spared serious injury.

“Well my indoor season has finally come to an end tonight. I am thankful to have finished free from serious injury. It is now time to rest and let the body heal. The outdoor season will be bigger and better in Jesus’ name!”
