BASSETERRE St. Kitts, February 27th, 2013 -- Mr. David Lake has been re-elected for a second consecutive term as President of the St Kitts and Nevis Chamber of lndustry and Commerce.
Mr. Lake, who is General Manager of LIME St Kitts-Nevis Ltd, was elected at the 64th Annual General Meeting of the Chamber held on Tuesday at the Ocean Terrace lnn.
Also elected as Officers of the Executive Committee were Mr. Damion Hobson, Vice President; Mrs Carol Boddie, Treasurer, and Mr. Michael Morton, lmmediate Past President.
Other Members of the Board included Mrs. Marcia Gaudet of the Bank of Nova Scotia, Mr. Jose Rosa(Kajola Kristada), Mr. Ernie France (TDC Nevis), Mr. Everette Martin (Bank of Nevis), Mr. Denzil Crooke(Quantum Consulting), and Mr Scott Caines of C&C Trading..
ln his acceptance speech, Mr. Lake thanked the membership for the confidence placed in him, and then outlined his goals for the Chamber for the programme year 2013-2014.
These included:
- attracting new members whilst retaining the existing ones
- expanding mutual relationships with related regional and international organisations.
- advocating for political and social stability and good order in our country, and
- the improvement of productivity and competitiveness in both the public and private sector.
