BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – VOTERS on St. Kitts will have a third option at the polls, following today’s (Mar. 2) official launch of a new political party called The Blazing Star Movement (BSM) which is expected to contest the next General Elections.
Founder of BMS, 26-year-old well-known businessman and Preacher Khrystus Wallace, officially launched his political party this morning party on Freedom FM with host Juni ‘Big JL’ Liburd.
He hailed his party as the “better choice” and claimed that the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party is in “shambles” and People’s Action Movement is “weak”.
Wallace outlined the reason for the timing of this launch, as he painted the Labour and PAM parties as being incompetent to form the government after Polling Day.
“The question that is probably bubbling in the minds of so many persons at this time is 'why now?'
“After careful consideration, much discussions - especially among our youth supporters - legal advisors, experienced politicians, we have a very, very strong case to make to the people of our beautiful twin-island Federation. A case of hope that no other political party has been making or has ever made! This is confirmed by both former hierarchy in the PAM and Labour Parties, confirming that we are on the right track.”
Wallace bashed the call for a Unity Government which, he said, is a political trick.
“With a Labour Party in shambles and the People’s Action Movement so weak that they are turning to Labour blood for help in what is being called the Unity Government, but it is just a political ploy to get in power. Now is the time…the best time to launch.”
Wallace claimed that people are unsure which Party they should vote for and he praised the potential of his party to make their decision clear.
“People are confused as to who they should really support. Therefore, the Blazing Star Movement provides that chance for them to sleep peacefully throughout the night. Vote for BSM.”
He highlighted that prior to March 2, the young and old had only two options from which to choose - the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and the People’s Action Movement.
“From today, March 2, 2013, people now have a third choice, a better choice, a choice of hope,” Wallace asserted.
