BASSETERRE St. Kitts, March 1st 2013 - On Friday 15th February, 2013 the St. Kitts-Nevis Student Association (SKNSA) at the University of the West Indies Cavehill Campus elected its new executive members for the term 2013-2014. The Executive is as follows: President: Mechelle Liburd; Vice President: Lanein Blanchette; Treasurer: Krysta Liburd-Clarke; Secretary: Crios Freeman; Returning Officer JeNise Carty; Public Relations Officer: Danni Maynard; Cultural Officer: Laresa Harrigan.
SKNSA is a non-profit student association comprised of nationals of the Federation who are studying at the University of the West Indies Cavehill Campus. In addition to promoting the Kittitian-Nevisian identity, culture and talent on campus and to foster greater integration among its members and those of other Island Associations, the association is geared towards providing support to all nationals at the campus, to help them adjust to life at UWI Cavehill and life in Barbados on a whole.
The Association has several activities planned throughout the year and first event on the agenda is the Annual SKNSA Awards and Farewell Dinner for members who are in their final semester, completing their respective programmes. As is customary a high-standing public figure from the
Federation will be invited, as featured speaker for the event.
