BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A pall of gloom is currently hovering over the village of Half Way Tree following the shooting death of a young male resident early this morning (Mar. 3).
Information reaching this publication states that the incident occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. within a partly bushy area in the vicinity of the old railway line in that village.
On arrival at the scene, SKNVibes observed a number of lawmen conducting their investigations but no further information could have been gathered at the time.
It was learnt that the man did not died in the area where he was shot, but some distance from there after trying to escape from his perpetrator(s).
The name of the shooting victim is known, but was withheld until the police inform his next of kin and other family members.
This has taken to five, the number of murders committed in the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis for the year.
More on this incident as details unfold.
