March 4th, 2013 -- The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold two special meetings on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, to continue the debate on the process of reflection on the Workings of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights for the Strengthening of the Inter-American Human Rights System.
The first meeting will be held at 9:30 EST (14:30 GMT) in Simón Bolivar Hall at the headquarters of the organization in Washington, DC, to hear from civil society and others actors or users of the Inter-American Human Rights System.
At 14:30 EST (19:30 GMT), in the second meeting of the day, Member States will continue the debate, in a session which will be attended by the President of the IACHR, Commissioner José de Jesús Orozco Henríquez.
