CASTRIES, St Lucia -- At approximately 5:21 p.m. this evening, Therold Prudent placed a call to Mrs. Carol Delgado of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Consulate in New York to express condolences to the government and people of Venezuela on behalf of the Lucian People's Movement.
Mr. Prudent, who described Mr. Chavez as a "tireless advocate for the poor", says that his work for social justice will not die. Therold Prudent is scheduled to attend President Chavez's memorial service at a date to be announced.
