A closer look at ‘Wicked Heart’ sung by SKNVibes’ Knockshore Night artiste Jah Vinci

By: Suelika N. Creque, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JAH VINCI, the SKNVibes & Appleton Knockshore Night main artiste, sings music that speaks to the conscious mind.

He will be delivering his thought-provoking lyrics to those who attend the event on March 30.

One of the songs that is thought-provoking and speaks about a pressing issue is ‘Wicked Heart’, which is featured on ‘The Message’ riddim produced by Don Corleon.

That riddim was released in 2011 and is also featured on Vybz Kartel, Pressure, Protégé and Ce’cile.

‘The Message’ is said to be a pleasing, pulsating one-drop with a classic Corleon acoustic guitar riff and a very ‘welcome’ string arrangement.

Jah Vinci puts forth an excellent effort with the inspiring ‘Wicked Heart’, a tune assuring that the Almighty is always present if one would only seek Him.

This particular song informs from where unconditional love is derived and also that whatever evil may come one’s way, one should know that the wicked would soon perish.

“Put your trust in Jah…Jah will, never make your heart break…Jah will never hurt your feelings, love without pretense,” is the chorus in the song.

Many persons who may suffer a disappointment in life, whether as a result of a relationship where they felt the love was not real or true, family or work dispute, issues with so-called ‘haters’ and ‘bad mind’, this song serves as a reminder of who one should place one’s trust in first and foremost.

Jah Vinci first broke onto the Dancehall and Reggae scene in 2008 and was a member of the Vybz Kartel Gaza Family.

After singing ‘Weh Dem A Guh’ with Vybz Kartel in 2008 on Stephen Mcgregor’s Day Rave Riddim, he had since released a number of hits, including ‘Thank You Mama’, Watch Your Friends’, ‘Soul To Keep’ and ‘Caah Kill Me’.

The SKNVibes and Appleton Knockshore Night promises to be memorable, as the event will feature regional acts for the first time.

The event will also feature the Nu Vybes, Kollision, Grand Masters and Small Axe Bands as well as DJ Clash SP versus SK with DJ Sixaklak representing SP and Unstoppable Chalice representing SK.

The action takes place at the Sandy Point Hard Court and tickets are EC$50 before March 22.
