BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SHE has worked at Kajola Kristada for the past 12 years and for the first time since the establishment of its Employee of the Month (EOM) Programme, Juliana Griffin’s photograph will hang among past winners.

The SMT Line worker was recently informed that she was selected by the Employee of the Month Committee for January 2013.

The programme was developed approximately six years ago as a means of highlighting exemplary workers and encouraging all employees to always give 110 percent in every area of their work.

In speaking with SKNVibes, Griffin explained that while she always knew that she did her best relating to her professional duties, she appreciates and is excited about receiving that pat-on-the-back from management.

“I feel good! What I have done is actually showing now and they have accepted what I’ve done and are saying job well done. I knew I was doing a good job but it is always good to hear it from management.”

The Keys resident who hails from Newtown encouraged her fellow staffers to “stay focussed and do a job that is well done and make sure that you are up to date with all standards of the company”.

Asked about her employee’s work ethic and the way she performs her tasks, her supervisor Gwenneth Brookes informed that “Juliana is everything! She is inspector, production worker...she is everything…anything you could ever talk about. She gives 100 percent anywhere. Anywhere you put her, she performs well”.

Brookes also had a word of encouragement to other employees, stating that they too could be named employee of the month once they “stay focussed, always follow instructions and remember the safety and quality principles of the company”.

When the EOM programme was implemented at Kajola – as explained by Brookes – the award was first won by an SMT Line worker, with Griffin being the third. And she expressed confidence that others from her Line would win the award in months to come.

    Congratulations, Juliana.
