BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FRIDAY evening (Mar. 8) was a time for celebration for athletes and supporters of Gold House, as the fleet-footed youngsters stormed their way to victory at the Dean Glasford Primary Shool's Sports Day.
In the presence of a packed St. Peter's Playfield, members of Gold House displayed their superior athletic ability in the various track events to be adjudged the school’s 2013 Champions.
As is the norm at Sports Days, hundreds of parents were in attendance cheering for their children and encouraging them to give of their best.
But at the end of the day, the team adorned in gold scored 215 points to take the honours whilst beating its closest competitor, Green House, by nine points.
The other competitors, Blue House and Red House had tied for third place with 194 points.
The athletics coach of the Dean Glasford Primary School will now be turning his attention in the preparation of the institution’s top athletes for the RAMS Primary School Championships to be held next month.
