    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, March 15th 2013 - ARRESTS

     

    Nine (9) juveniles were formally charged for the offence of Aggravated Assault which was committed on 6 March 2013.

     

    A juvenile was formally charged for the offence Attempted Murder which was committed on 6 March 2013.

     


    Two (2) juveniles were formally charged for the offence of Trespassing which was committed on 6 March 2013.

     

    Akil Harris of Mansion Village  was formally charged for the offence of Simple Wounding committed on 18th January 2013.

     

     

     

    COURT CONVICTIONS

     

    DISTRICT A

     

    Tosh Boston of Caunt Street Newtown was convicted for the offence of Malicious Damage which was committed on the 29 August 2012, and cautioned, but, was ordered to compensation of $282.08 to the victim by 22 March 2013 or in default will serve one(1) month in prison.

     

    Clive Farara of Infirmary Road was convicted for the offence of Battery which was committed on 27 July 2012, and was instructed to apologise to the victim which he did. The apology was accepted by the victim and Farara was cautioned by the court.

     

    DISTRICT B

     

    Damian Francis of Mansion Village was convicted for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with intent to supply which were committed on 28 October 2012, and was cautioned for Possession of Cannabis and sentenced to fourteen (14) days in prison with hard labour for Possession with intent to supply.

     

    Clyde French of Saddlers Village was convicted for the offence of Battery, Abusive and Indecent Language which were committed on 10/8/12, and was fined of $300.00 for Battery, $100.00 for Abusive Language, and $100.00 for Indecent language. All fines are to be paid by 22 March 2013 or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison.

     

    Careem  Bradshaw of Farms Site was convicted for the offences of Receiving which was committed on 27 January 2013, and Indecent Language which was committed on 20 March 2013. He was sentenced to two (2) months in prison with hard labour for the offence of Receiving, and fined $300.00 for the offence of Battery which is to be paid by 15 March 2013 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison which will run consecutive to the two (2) months for Receiving.

     

    Otis French alias Bolo of Saddlers was convicted for the offence of Careless Driving which was committed on 31 October 2012, and was fined $800.00 which is to be paid by 22 March 2013 or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison with hard labour. He was also disqualified from driving or holding a valid driver’s licence for three (3) months.

     

    Dwight Burke of Fig Tree Sandy Point was convicted for the offences of Careless Driving and Failing to produce his Insurance Policy which were committed on 24 September 2012, and fined $500.00 for Careless Driving  which is to be paid by 22 March 2013 and $100.00 for Failing to produce his Insurance Policy which is to be paid by 22 March 2013 or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison.
