COURT CONVICTIONS
ST. CHRISTOPHER CIRCUIT COURT
BASSETERRE St. Kitts, March, 25th, 2013 -- Javonne Junie Hendrickson and Akeem Sheddy Parris both of Basseterre were convicted on 21 January 2013 for the offence of Attempted Murder which was committed on 13 October 2011, and sentenced on 21 March 2013 to seven (7) years in prison, however, time spent on remand; form 17 October 2011 to date of conviction (two (2) years and four (4) months), will be deducted from their sentence.
DISTRICT A MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Pearl Francis of St. Paul Village was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Seatbelt which was committed on 8 February 2012, and fined $350.00 which is to be paid in two (2) weeks or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison.
Delvin Maynard of Keys Village was convicted for the offence of Driving Off Bus Route which was committed on 1 August 2012, and fined $200.00 which is to be paid in two (2) weeks or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison.
ROBBERY
On Thursday 21 March 2013 at about 8:25 pm officers at the Cotton Ground Police Station responded to a report at the at the Dayton Service Station located at Jessup's Village. Initial investigations revealed that an armed masked man entered the said business establishment and robbed the owner of large sum of money and made an escape. Three persons are currently in police custody to assist with investigations.
