G Warren rides Downsound Records’ Quarter Mile rhythm

Press Release

April 3rd, 2013   --  Emerging dancehall deejay/singjay G Warren has scored a minor hit with the single Rough Neck which is featured on the Downsound Records project Quarter Mile rhythm.

The song has been gaining momentum mostly in the dancehall and sessions.  The song follows on the heels of his radio hit Bottle Party which was released late last year.

‘Rough Neck is a song for the ladies who can defend themselves’, said G Warren.

Describing himself as a humble and hardworking individual, G Warren came to the public’s attention with the song Grip Me. Since then he has been working with producers to craft that elusive breakout single.

In a release to the media, the artiste who recently began to differentiate himself from the pack with the catchy slang ‘same suh same suh’, said he’s looking forward to reaping success in 2013.

‘I am putting in the hard work and with the determination that I have and the songs that I have coming out, and the promotional machinery which is in place, I plan to make a name for myself in the music business’, G Warren reassured.

Born Warren Gordon in Spanish Town, he grew up in St Ann. He attended Holmwood Technical High and later Browns Town Community College. It was while at Browns Town that the music bug bit him.

He has recorded for the Downsound Records label as well as Cash Flow, 007, Digital Records, True Records, and UIM Records.

The artiste has performed on a number of shows outside of Jamaica, mostly as an opening act for dancehall artiste Khago. He has worked stages in the Bahamas, Belize, New York, California, Atlanta, Arizona and New Jersey among others.

He recently collaborated with Belize reggae artiste Andidre for a remix of Bottle Party.
