Saint Vincent names 13 for regional cricket tourney

    KINGSTOWN, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, March 02nd, 2013 - The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association has named a 13-man squad to represent the country in the upcoming National Lotteries Windward Islands Under-15 Cricket Tournament to be held from April 3rd to 10th, 2013.

    The team is as follows:

    1. Jeremy Layne - Captain

    2. Lesron Craigg

    3. Erwin Williams

    4. Donroy Sampson

    5. Jerremy Haywood

    6. Delorn Douglas

    7. Kerwin Williams

    8. Gregory Wyllie

    9. Alex Samuel

    10. Trevin Baptiste

    11 Keron Williams

    12 Urnel Thomas

    13 Shane Roberts

    Reserves

     


    1. Terono Samuel

    2. Kenroy Ollivierre

    3. Ethano Trimmingham

    4. Karsam Hoyte

    All four Windward Islands countries will play each other in two rounds of 50 overs games at the main Arnos Vale Cricket Ground, and the adjacent Anos Vale playing field.

    All matches will be officiated by local umpires and commences daily at 9:30 a.m.

    St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be seeking to dethrone champions Grenada. The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association has named Samuel Holder as manager and Uzzah Pope as coach of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines team.

    Mr Holder has serviced in this capacity for several years and managed the Windward Islands Under-15 team, guiding many of our present Windward Islands top players.

    Uzzah Pope is a former St.Vincent and the Grenadines and Windward Islands wicket keeper batsman.
