    COURT CONVICTIONS

     

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, April 5th 2013 - DISTRICT A MAGISTRATE'S COURT

     

    Michael Henry of Stapleton was convicted for the offences of Driving Without Seat Belt and Failing To Comply With a Traffic Sign, which were committed on 4th February 2013, and fined $200.00 which is to be paid in one (1) week or in default will serve one (1) week in prison the first offence and $100.00 which is to be paid in one (1) week or in default will serve one (1) week in prison for the second offence.

     

    Brian Prentice of Mansion Village was convicted for the offence of Driving Off Bus Route, which was committed on 29th December 2012, and fined $100.00 forthwith or in default will serve five (5) days in prison

     

    Alphonso Caines of New Road was convicted for the offence of Careless Driving, which was committed on 19th February 2013, and fined $500.00 which is to be paid in two (2) months or in default will serve one (1) month in prison

     

    Tracelyn Belle of Ogees Village was convicted for the offence of Failing To Comply With Traffic Signs, which was committed on 16th December 2013, and fined $100.00 forthwith, or in default will serve one (1) week in prison.

     

    Romeo Richardson of Saddlers Village was convicted for charges of the offence of Driving Off Bus Route, which was committed on 7th January 2013 and fined $100.00 forthwith or in default will serve one (1) week in prison on both charges
     
    Tedrel Ward of Cayon Village was convicted for the offence of Driving Off Bus Route, which was committed on 5th January 2013 and fined $100.00 forthwith or in default will serve one (1) week in prison
     
    Vance Dickenson of Cayon Village was convicted for the offence Careless Driving, which was committed on 8th August 2012 and was cautioned
     
    Curtis Flanders of Saddlers Village was convicted for the offence of Careless Driving, which was committed on 31st August 2012 and fined $600.00 which is to be paid in two (2) months or in default will serve one (1) month in prison

     

    Vance Archibald was convicted for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without the Relevant Driver's License, which were committed on 28th July 2012 and fined $400.00 which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default  will serve fourteen (14) days in prison for the first offence and $1000.00 which is to be paid  in three (3) months or in default will serve one (1) month in prison, he was also disqualified from driving for fourteen (14 ) days for the second offence.

     

    Vernon Nias of Conaree was convicted for the offences of Driving Without Insurance, Driving Without Due Care and Attention, and Failing to Produce his Driver's Licence, which were committed on 25th December 2012, and fined $600.00 to be paid in two months or in default, serve one (1) month in prison for the first offence and cautioned for the other two offences.

     

    Charles Irish of Conaree was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention which was committed on 20th November 2012, and fined $500.00 which is to be paid in two (2) months or in default serve one (1) month in prison.

     


    AUTOPSY OF TREVOR DOUGLAS

     

    An autopsy was performed on the body of late Trevor Douglas by pathologist,  Dr. Stephen Jones.

     

    The results revealed that Trevor Douglas's death was caused to haemorrhage and shock due to gunshot injury. The circumstances surrounding his death is still unclear, and investigation is on going.

    NEW MOTORCYCLES DONATED TO THE ROYAL ST. CHRISTOPHER AND NEVIS POLICE FORCE

     

    The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force was the recipient of sixteen (16) new motorcycles which were donated by  a Citizen by investment. These motorcycles will in a large measure increase the fleet of vehicles of the Force, more so, the motorcycle fleet. Commissioner CG Walwin, and the High Command takes this opportunity to thank this law abiding citizen for the kind and meaningful donation.
