April 8th, 2013 -- On Friday, April 5, 2013, Miss Teen Diva 2012, Shaemore Smith, spent her morning reading to preschoolers, aged three to five. In October 2012, as a contestant, Shaemore visited the Wendell Potter Learning Centre along with the other young ladies who were vying for the Miss Teen Diva crown.
Last Friday, Shaemore visited both Simmonds Pre-School and Venetta’s Daycare & Preschool. She read three exciting stories including one about having faith and another about venturing from pre-school to primary school. She also donated one book to each school to add to their reading collection.
Shaemore, in December, assisted the Community Mental Health Centre with soliciting donations for persons who suffer from mental health issues. The Miss Teen Diva Committee has plans for other community activities and thanks the public for their continued support of the Miss Teen Diva Pageant.
