Condor’s image at Constituency Office daubed with red paint

By: Precious Mills, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – RED paint has been used to obliterate the image of Sam Condor painted on a wall outside the premises of his Constituency Office on the Island’s Main Road in St. Johnston’s Village.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. today (Apr. 10), SKNVibes visited the area and found four individuals, three of whom appeared to be residents of the community, standing within the compound of the Office.

This media house was informed that police were on the scene about half an hour before its arrival, and whilst investigating dusted the area for fingerprints.

It was explained and shown by the residents that the inside of the Office was not vandalised or interfered with, except for the smeared wall on the outside.

This media spoke with Condor on the matter and he noted that he had contacted the police about incident, which he classified as a “job”.

“The job looked like it was done either Monday or Tuesday, but I only found out about it today...this afternoon at about 3:15. They painted over my picture and my name so they can't be seen now. They painted them with red paint, so I went by the police station in St. Johnson's and I also called the police station in downtown Basseterre. The police are investigating the matter into the problem.”

When asked what he intends to do about it, Condor indicated that he would replace his picture and name.

“Once the police have completed their investigation I will put my picture back and paint back on my name.”

Attempts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David, for a comment were unsuccessful.
