Flash Flood Advisory

Valid from Noon until 6 pm today Wednesday 5th November, 2008

A trough of low pressure is moving over the Leeward Islands. This has caused conditions to become unstable to the point where heavy rainfall and occasional thunderstorms have developed over some of the islands.
 
Satellite and radar images are still showing significant showers over the islands. With the earth already saturate, further rainfall could trigger flash flooding in low lying areas. 

Therefore The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services has decided to issue a flash flood advisory from noon until 6 pm today, Wednesday. Residents in low lying areas should take note and be guided accordingly.
