By: TDC, Press Release

BASSETERRE StT. Kitts,  April 12th, 2013   --  Two (2) Service Technicians from the TDC Business Equipment Units, Mr. Veon Martin (St. Kitts) and Mr. Marshall Queeley (Nevis) have now achieved the CANON Association of Technical Service Professionals (ATSP) Bronze Level Certification.

In 2012, Martin and Queeley attended and actively participated in a series of theoretical and practical sessions, facilitated by a Regional Specialist using a wide range of CANON copiers and printers

The young professionals were presented with their certifications at a brief ceremony held at the TDC Training Room in Basseterre. Mr. José Freire, Advisor, Technical Administration Marketing Engineering and Communication Division from the Latin American Office visited the Federation to personally present and congratulate the Service Representatives on their achievement.

“We are very pleased that the TDC technicians have seized the opportunity afforded to them to receive training. The ATSP Programme boasts an impressive platform that not only vouches for the authenticity of our product expertise but also gives technicians a chance to be recognized by major manufacturers, like us, for their hard work and dedication,” said Freire.

In giving remarks at the presentation, Mr. Clayton Douglas, TDC Technical Service Manager, spoke of the importance of the ATSP and the benefit to patrons.

“We are very proud of Messers. Martin and Queeley. The ongoing emphasis on training underscores TDC’s commitment to ensure that we continue to provide excellent Client Care. The ATSP allows our frontline staff to be even more knowledgeable and skillfully equipped with the tools to provide the necessary technical support and advice to our many Customers and Clients,” stated Claxton.

The ongoing educational exercises form part of a Group wide Annual Human Resource Programme designed to offer opportunities for frontline staff to be better prepared to perform their respective duties more efficiently and professionally.

The TDC Business Centre on St. Kitts and the City Drug Store (Nevis) Limited are the authorized local dealers and distributors for CANON products in the Federation and stocks a wide range of scanners, printers, and copiers for home and office use.
