BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE once embattled People’s Action Movement (PAM) candidate for St. Christopher One – Glenroy Blanchette – will be one of the members of a new political party that will be formed to contest the next General Elections.
Rumours were rife that the former PAM candidate was at least considering either forming a political party or contesting the upcoming General Elections as an independent candidate, but they were unsubstantiated until yesterday (Apr. 25) afternoon.
Blanchette – after being contacted and questioned by this publication – confirmed that plans afoot to form a new political party.
He refrained from providing any further detail on the party, its formation, its name, members etc, but the party is expected to be formed.
It is suspected however that two other former PAM candidates would form part of the party.
Whether or not the idea behind forming the party is one of acting as a ‘spoiler’ or just to provide a means of robust opposition is yet unknown and it is hoped that as time progresses more information would be provided.
