BASSETERRE St. Kitts, April 26th 2013 - Yo soy Jonel Powell, un candidato del distrito electoral de Movimiento de Acción Popular (PAM) y ofrezco a mí mismo a ser su próximo representante electo.
Habiendo crecido en McKnight, estoy muy familiarizado con el centro de Basseterre y la comunidad próspera que fue. Hoy en día, nuestro electoral se encuentra abandonado y en extrema necesidad de una representación adecuada.
Mi objetivo es marcar el comienzo de una “Nueva marca de política” al centro de Basseterre donde cada área es respetada y cuidada a pesar de su afiliación política. No estoy preocupado por quien votó en el pasado, espero contar con su apoyo en el presente para que el futuro del distrito electoral # 2 sea brillante y próspero.
Como su representante les prometo servir a ustedes, el distrito, cotidiana y no sólo en tiempo de elecciones. Me comprometo a darles una representación real y significativa que va a satisfacer sus necesidades y las necesidades del districto entero. Mi objetivo como su representante será el de luchar en su nombre para mejorar el nivel de vida, reducir el costo de vida y proporcionar empleos y oportunidades para nuestra gente.
Mi visión para nuestro gran distrito electoral incluye, no sólo pavimentar calles en tiempo de elecciones, pero el mantenimiento de las carreteras y de la infraestructura, la fijación y la mejora de las instalaciones deportivas existentes y proporcionar una adicional en el área de New Road, arreglar y mantener el Centro de Comunidad McKnight y establecer más centros comunitarios y guarderías, la limpieza y el mantenimiento de lotes de terreno vacíos y cubiertos y edificios abandonados para mejorar los problemas de salud y seguridad que crean.
Para mí es esencial abrir una oficina de distrito electoral que estará abierto con personal a tiempo completo, donde tendrán acceso a mí, su representante, al menos 1 día a la semana y serán capaces de comunicar los problemas y preocupaciones del distrito conmigo. Esta oficina no será una oficina política y funcionará en beneficio de todo el distrito, independientemente de su afiliación política.
Nos ha llegado el momento para reconstruir nuestro electorado y nuestro país a través de la unidad nacional. Les pido su apoyo en mi búsqueda para convertirse en su siervo y trabaja para ustedes. El Centro de Basseterre merece algo mejor. El Centro de Basseterre necesita una representación VERDADERA.
A New Brand of Politics for Central Basseterre
BASSETERRE St. Kitts, April 26th 2013 - I am Jonel Powell, People’s Action Movement (PAM) candidate for Constituency #2 and I am offering myself to be your next elected representative.
Having grown up in McKnight I am very familiar with Central Basseterre and the prosperous community it once was. Today our constituency finds itself neglected and in dire need of proper representation.
My goal is to usher in a “New brand of politics” to Central Basseterre where every constituent is respected and cared for regardless of the party that he/she supports or is perceived to support. I am not concerned with who you voted for in the past, I am looking forward to your support in the present so that the future of Constituency #2 will be bright and prosperous.
As your representative I pledge to serve you, my constituents, everyday and not just at election time. I promise to provide you with real and meaningful representation that will satisfy your needs and the needs of the entire constituency. My focus as your representative will be to fight on your behalf to improve the standard of living, lower the cost of living and provide jobs and opportunity for our people.
My vision for our great constituency includes, not just paving roads at election time but maintaining our roads and infrastructure, fixing and improving our existing sporting facilities and providing an additional one in the New Road area, fixing and maintaining the McKnight Community Centre and establishing more community centres and day care centres, cleaning up and maintaining empty and overgrown land lots and abandoned buildings to improve the health and security problems that they create.
It is essential for me to open a constituency office that will be open and staffed fulltime where you will have access to me your representative at least 1 day a week and be able to communicate constituency issues and concerns. This office will NOT be a political office and will function for the benefit of all constituents of Constituency #2 regardless of political affiliation.
It is time for us to rebuild our constituency and our country through national unity. I ask for your support in my quest to become your servant and work for you. Central Basseterre deserves better. Central Basseterre needs REAL representation.
