BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AFTER falling ill while driving his vehicle, a Freeman’s Village man later lost his life after a short stint at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.

Head of the Traffic Department Inspector Carl Caines told this media house that the incident took place at about 7:50 a.m. today (May 1) along the Irishtown Bay Road in the vicinity of B’s Enterprises.

Caines identified the man as Joseph Percival.

Caines’ understanding of the circumstances is that Percival fell ill while travelling along the road which caused him to lose control of the vehicle. Consequently, it ran off the road and ended on the shore close to the Caribbean Sea.

Percival was reportedly transported to the hospital where he later died.

Although it is not believed to be so, it is not clear if Percival’s death is linked to the traffic incident.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently making inquiries into the incident.
