General Manager pledges continuous support
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A longstanding sponsor of the annual St. Kitts Music Festival, telecommunications provider LIME, has once again made a financial contribution to the yearly extravaganza.
Following the unveiling of the regional and international acts at the sponsorship and media press conference yesterday morning (May 1), a cheque in the amount of EC$200 000 was presented to the Chairman of the St. Kitts Music Festival, Faron Lawrence, by LIME's Marketing Department representative Sharizma Patrick.
LIME’s General Manager David Lake spoke excitedly about this year’s festivity.
“Once again it gives me great pleasure to partner with the St. Kitts Music Festival. I think LIME has been involved in 18 out of the last 17 years and that’s not a typo. Yes, we've been there from the very beginning and we are one of those companies that feel great back again of getting involved in something of this magnitude, of this national scale of such importance, economically to St. Kitts and Nevis.”
He reaffirmed his company’s continuous partnership with the Music Festival and was high in praise of the Committee.
Lake said the Festival is a much anticipated one, as he talked about the inquiries he had received.
"This year’s Festival is much anticipated. My colleagues around the region are already asking me what the acts are going to be. I was there making notes and I’m going to be sending off BBs on my 4G network shortly."
Chairman Lawrence, during early remarks, addressed the audience, which comprised sponsors, partnership representatives and media workers, about the significance of their relationship.
“You were chosen to be invited here because of your assistance, contribution or support you have provided in the past and continue to provide now. This support is extremely important to the Ministry and the Executive Committee, as it is precisely this consistent and unwavering support that had made and continues to make the St. Kitts Music Festival the success it has been and is.
“Over the past years the St. Kitts Music Festival has been able to grow from strength to strength, each year improving upon and surpassing the previous years. I wish to assure you that this year would continue in this trend. We have a fantastic line-up for this year’s event as would be laid out to you shortly.”
