BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AN alleged robber, under police guard, is nursing a bullet wound at the Alexandra Hospital in Nevis.
Information reaching SKNVibes indicates that at about 9:15 p.m. yesterday (May. 1), an attempted robbery incident took place in Cotton Ground at the Yachtsman’s Grill.
This publication has been reliably informed that while the owner of the bar, Gregory Slagan and his wife exited the establishment and were approaching their vehicle – which was in the parking lot – they were approached and accosted by two gunmen.
Further information suggests that Slagan – who was carrying a firearm – discharged round(s) and it is believed that he struck one of the individuals who reportedly fled the scene in the process.
Meanwhile, Analdo ‘Inches’ Browne – who was reportedly discovered by police at his Cotton Ground home nursing a gunshot wound – was transported to the Alexandra Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for the wound.
SKNVibes tried to contact Divisional Commander for District C (Nevis) – Assistant Commissioner of Police Robert Liburd concerning the incident but was unreachable via mobile phone and it was indicated that he was not in his office.
Public Relations Officer for the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force Inspector Lyndon David, when asked about the incident, indicated that a press release “would be sent out shortly, so I prefer to let that speak for itself”.
SKNVibes understands that the incident is under investigation.
