Here on larceny charges
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ONE individual is in custody assisting police with their investigations into the tragic death of Alexis ‘Joe’ Daniel, which occurred along the Island’s Main Road at Lavington on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
According to a police press release, investigations revealed that at about 12:40 a.m. on the day in question, a motor vehicle had struck the 36-year-old Daniel of Saddlers Village whilst he was walking on the Island’s Main Road in Lavington.
Following the accident, the driver allegedly offered no assistance to the victim and had fled the scene.
Daniel died on the spot but an individual was apprehended and is currently in custody assisting police with their investigation.
Meanwhile, three men were arrested and charged for offences they allegedly committed over the past two weeks.
Willis Phillip of Lower Saddlers Project and Neil Norford of Belle Vue were charged with larceny, an offence they allegedly committed on Friday (May 3).
And Valentine Graham of Herbert Alley in Newtown was charged with house breaking and larceny allegedly committed on Monday, April 22, 2013.
