Premier of Nevis to be Guest Speaker at University of the West Indies Celebrations
(Charlestown,Nevis-Thursday, November 13, 2008) Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry has been invited to be a guest speaker at the University of the West Indies (UWI) 60th Anniversary Awards Banquet in Montserrat, on November 15th.
The Premier will be attending as a guest of Montserrat’s Chief Minister, the Hon. Dr. Lowell Lewis.
The island of Montserrat is hosting a wide array of program activities to commemorate the University of the West Indies 60th Anniversary.
The celebration of events began on Nov. 8th and concludes on Nov.16th
Premier Parry who is a graduate of UWI, Cave Hill Campus said he feels honored to be a guest speaker at the prestigious event.
He noted that he is proud to be associated with an institution that has educated numerous people that have gone on to great professions and have made numerous contributions to the Caribbean Society.
The Premier is expected to return to the island on Sunday, November 16th.
