St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service
Basseterre, St. Kitts (June 06, 2005): The new web-based process introduced by the St. Kitts Music Festival Committee has allowed a number of persons as far away as the United Kingdom to access tickets more conveniently online.
The internet initiative was launched on May 20th with a festive flare, as a large crowd turned up on Bank Street for its debut. Persons from anywhere in the world with access to the world wide web, can purchase tickets to attend the nightly concerts which will feature performances from top international superstars such as Ludacris, Boyz II Men, T.I. Wyclef Jean and Kenny Rogers.

Co-chair of the festivals finance subcommittee Faron Lawrence told SKNIS that ticket purchases have been made from a number of countries including the United States, Guyana, Bermuda the U.S. Virgin Islands as well as the aforementioned United Kingdom. Locals are also making use of this service.

Lawrence stressed that he was quite pleased with the process which has revealed a number of multiple purchases by a user. This suggests that patrons are buying tickets for a group rather than a sole individual.
Tickets from online purchases will be available for collection early next week at the Festivals Annex at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Building on Horsfords Road. Mr. Lawrence indicated that the original date for ticket collection had to be pushed back due to printing delays by a US-based company.
