S L Horsford & Co. Ltd. reaffirms its Commitment to the Federation’s Teachers

Basseterre, St. Kitts - S L Horsford & Company Limited has once again demonstrated its appreciation to the teachers of our Federation through the donation of $8,000.00 to the President of the St. Kitts Teachers’ Union, Mr. Clyde Christopher. The presentation was made during a brief ceremony at the office of Marketing/Automotive Executive, Mr. Valentine Monish, on Wednesday, 12th. November, 2008.

Since the beginning of 2000, the Horsford Group has partnered with the SKTU specifically through the provision of funding for that organization’s annual Teachers’ Awards Dinner. 

This year’s event, to be held at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel on Saturday, 15th. November, will recognize long serving and retired teachers for their sterling contribution to society.

Monish, in a brief address, thanked Mr. Christopher and his union for the role they continue to play in support of teachers.

Horsford has been and will continue to be grateful to teachers, whose role in molding our nation’s youth, in a positive way, cannot be over emphasized. We can never offer enough praise or appreciation for the sacrifice and diligence our teachers continue to exhibit on a daily basis,” Mr. Monish stated.

S L Horsford & Co. Ltd. has been given the Corporate Citizen Award by the St. Kitts Teachers’ Union on several occasions and the company has committed to continuing its partnership with teachers through financial and other support in the future.
